I love Dandelions! Their bright blossoms burst forth in joyous yellow and are one of my favorite harbingers of spring.
Although many people still tout them as a weed, more and more are starting to recognize Dandelions as a wonderful addition to their meals and their herbal medicine chest.
A weed is a flower

This bread is so easy to make and oh so good to eat. One taste will have you hooked and you’ll be adding this to your regular baking schedule in no time.
When you’re a contractor’s daughter, you learn pretty quickly that your house is the last one to get fixed. Major remodels and renovations get done and your house is full of some pretty cool things, but the cracked window will take forever to be replaced or the trim around a door way might take an unmentionable number of years to hang. This is because when someone else’s house “breaks”, they call your dad to come fix it. So, fix it he does, and very well might I add. But, then he comes home from fixing houses all day, and never really gets around to those little things in his own home. From what I’ve gathered, this is true with most contractors, so if you’ve lived with one, you know exactly what I’m talking about.
Spring is diligently working to conquer the Beast of Winter, and what is more Springy than a floppy-brimmed Easter hat?
So, doing my part to aid in Spring’s arrival, I sat down and designed such a hat for our youngest.
These flautas are amazing! And very reminiscent of the ones served at the Mario’s Restaurant where I grew up in So Cal. Yum! Not only are they amazing, they are ridiculously simple to make! It was my first attempt and my guessing provided a better result than I had hoped for. These will be on our table again–soon!
